Torchlight - Xbox 360 Live Arcade
Torchlight is an Action Role Playing Game developed by Runic Games. The game was originally released on the PC in 2009, but was later ported to the Xbox 360 Live Arcade in 2011. In developing their game, Runic clearly was channeling the earlier top-down viewpoint Action RPGS such as Diablo II. It almost feels as though Runic Games couldn't wait for a sequel and decided to create their own!

Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition - Xbox 360 Arcade
Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition is a First-Person Action game developed by ACE Team and published by Valve Corporation. The game is Ace Team's debut game and goes to show that the more new blood we get in the video game world, the more unique and interesting games will be made. Zeno Clash: Ultimate Edition is definitely unique, and bordering on weird (in a good way). The game was first released on PC only in 2009, but eventually saw a 2010 release on the Xbox Live Arcade.

Crimson Alliance - Xbox 360 Arcade
Crimson Alliance is a Cooperative Action/RPG developed by Certain Affinity and published by Microsoft Studios. Released in 2011, Crimson Alliance has caused a lot of confusion on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The game uses the Freemium model of sales in which you can download the game for free, though with limited gameplay. Gameplay time and level limits keep the free game from having full functionality. For a price, you can download one or all three of the game's characters, fully unlocking the game for that class. A huge number of online message board topics have been created since the games release saying that "Microsoft messed up! Crimson Alliance is accidentally listed as free! Download it before they notice!" Sorry pal, while it is free, it is meant to be, and only offers a taste of the full game.

I Am Alive: Xbox 360 Arcade
I Am Alive is a Survival/Action/Adventure game developed by Ubisoft Shanghai, and produced by Ubisoft. I Am Alive has had quite a bit of hype around it ever since the project was uncovered in 2003. Rumors of a post-apocalyptic Survival/Horror game with amazing features (for the time) such as dynamic encounters with other survivors swirled around online gaming communities. Eventually, in 2008, information was uncovered about the producer of Assassin's Creed working on a new title which was assumed to be I Am Alive. Any excitement that had died down in the five year drought of information was re-ignited as leaked screenshots from an early build of I Am Alive shot across the internet in 2009. Finally, in early 2012 Ubisoft announced a release date for the game as well as information explaining that I Am Alive would no longer be a full on-disc release, but rather an Xbox 360 Arcade game. The game was released soon following this announcement in April 2012 on Xbox 360 Arcade, PC, and the Playstation Network.

Dust: An Elysian Tail - Xbox 360 Arcade
Dust: An Elysian Tail is an action game with RPG elements created by the extremely talented Dean Dodrill and published by Microsoft studios. That's right, you heard correctly, everything in the game except for the music, voice acting, and a small bit of story writing was all done by one person. The game was released 2012 solely on the Xbox 360 Arcade, but will be released later in 2013 for PC.

Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light - Xbox 360 Arcade
A lot of people are familiar with the name Lara Croft, but you might notice that the words tomb and raider are mysteriously missing from the title of this game. The omittance is no mistake, however, as this game shares little in common with the famous Tomb Raider series. Released in 2010 by Squaresoft, Laura Croft and the Guardian of Light sought to be its own game, no longer living under the Tomb Raider series's shadow. Personally, this change of pace comes as a breath of fresh air after the multitude of lack-luster Tomb Raider games released in recent history.
One major difference in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (GoL) is noticeable immediately. The familiar third person view is gone and is replaced by an isometric view of the game world and its inhabitants. This viewpoint works surprisingly well for keeping the player aware of the many traps and enemies surrounding him or her while playing. This viewpoint isn't the most shocking venture away from tradition that GoL takes however.
